Likewise, people that are allergic to one kind of shellfish, such as prawns, crabs, mussels or scallops, usually respond to various other kinds. Most of the shellfish we eat is cooked first, but oysters are often offered raw. The Scientific Advisory Board on Nutrition suggests that if you take supplements consisting of vitamin A, you must not have more than 1.5 mg a day from your food as well as supplements integrated. Expectant ladies are advised to prevent taking supplements having vitamin A, including fish liver oil supplements, as way too much vitamin A can be dangerous to an unborn baby. Youngsters under the age of 16 need to prevent consuming any shark, swordfish or marlin.
